Passenger name record

In accordance with the German Passenger Data Act (Fluggastdatengesetz FlugDaG), which serves to combat international terrorism and organized crime, air carriers must transmit passenger data from cross-border flights taking off or landing in Germany electronically to the Passenger Information Unit at the Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt, BKA). The BVA is responsible for receiving and processing the data on behalf of the BKA.
